Since the early 20th century, Palestinians have fled their homeland to all different parts of the world— including Texas. Palestinian Stories in Texas documents the lives of Palestinians in Texas, including the similarities between the Palestinian and Texan landscapes. We invite you to listen to these stories as Palestinians share their experiences of belonging, dislocation, and life in Texas.

Produced by Palestinian scholar, activist, and oral historian Moureen Kaki in 2022 , this documentary chronicles Palestinian experiences of exile in Texas and experiences of feeling “othered” in a post-9/11 Texas society where anti-Arab racism and Islamophobia fuel a distinctly anti-Palestinian form of discrimination.
